Samsung has unveiled its new range Samsung Notebook 9: convertibly ultra-books versatile and lightweight.
They will certainly not come out in many countries, but that does not prevent us from taking an interest in them: the Notebook 9s are 13-inch laptops under Windows 10 that will be unveiled at CES 2018. We will have the opportunity to meet them during the second week of January. They offer solid features, with a weight under the kilogram (998 grams) and a touchscreen.
The first hybrid model is the most interesting: it offers a touchscreen, and it can turn into a tablet with a special hinge. Its little name, Notebook 9 Pen, evokes the presence of a stylus … which is present as the Galaxy Tab and Note 8. Moreover, the stylus is integrated directly into the shell.
Full HD definition, we can regret the presence of an IPS LCD panel, because Samsung has already proposed AMOLED screens on its Galaxy Book. It does not have to blush against ultrabooks: the latest generation, the eighth of Intel Core i7, up to 1 TB SSD and 16 GB of DDR4 RAM. USB-C associated with the full format, HDMI, and a headphone port, Samsung also offers full connectivity.
The classic model is a traditional format, which remains lightweight and versatile. Finally, there is also a 15-inch model with a dedicated GPU, the NVIDIA GeForce MX150.
We can deplore their absence from the UK market, nevertheless, these products represent the ultrabooks in 2018. It will take light machines and versatile. Qualcomm machines, called Always Connected, will have to compete with these high-performance products.
