Honor does not sleep in December and is still marketing a new smartphone: the 9 Lite put on the picture to stand out from the competition.
After the Honor 7X and the Honor View 10 – both of which are available in Europe, Asia, and the USA – the Chinese manufacturer has formalized the Honor 9 Lite, subject of many rumors in recent weeks. It must be said that Honor orchestrated the announcement of this terminal, broadcasting many teasers that allowed us to anticipate many of its features. Today, finished speculation, we have the complete and final technical data sheet of 9 Lite.
Technical data sheet of 9 Lite:
- Available in four colors (blue, gray, black and white).
- It has a large IPS screen in the format of 18: 9 5.65 “diagonal, definition Full HD + (2160 x 1080p).
- Wants the trend, it gives pride to the glass, used in front and back of the device, which otherwise has an aluminum frame.
- The Honor 9 Lite is rather light (149 grams), and displays dimensions of 151 x 71.9 x 7.6 mm.
Four photo modules or nothing:
If it adopts the trendy screen format, the 9 Lite also follows the trend in photosensors. Indeed, while the double-sensor is in the process of democratization, Honor goes so far as to propose this technology on the front of its phone, so that it presents no less than four photosensors in total, distributed in this way: two 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear-panel modules – and two 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel modules in the front. It remains to be seen if this specificity will allow the Honor 9 Lite to stand out from its competitors on the photo part, knowing that it will benefit in particular to offer a “portrait” mode with a depth of field effect on the selfies side.
Running on Android Oreo, this smartphone has a well-known SoC mid-range terminals: the Kirin 659 HiSilicon (four cores at 2.36 GHz and four cores at 1.7 GHz, with a GPU Mali-T830 MP2).
It is equipped with a fingerprint sensor located on its back and has a battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh, not removable. The Honor 9 Lite offers otherwise the management of two nano-SIM, with a second port that can also be used to equip a microSD card.
Three versions are planned: one offering 64 GB of storage space and 4 GB of RAM, another 32 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM and finally one last boarding 32 GB of storage and 3 GB of RAM. The first is marketed at 1,799 yuan (around 230 euros), the second at 1,499 yuan (190 euros) and the third at 1,199 yuan (155 euros). These prices are exclusive of taxes and Honor did not wish to comment on the possibility of an exit of this smartphone in our countries.
