If you want to recover messages that you have deleted in error, WhatsApp keeps a copy of them in the WhatsApp Databases folder of your Android device (and every day!).
How to recover deleted messages from WhatsApp from Android Phone or Tablet:
The procedure for retrieving recent messages is simple: just uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp on your mobile. During the installation, you will be asked if you want to restore your message history, select Restore:
After deleting the messages, you will see the message in the Cats window. If some messages do not appear, they may appear in an older backup.
Note: Before you uninstall WhatsApp to reinstall it, we recommend that you back up your conversations in case they contain messages older than 7 days.
How to restore and recover old WhatsApp messages on Android:
Before you start restoring your old messages, keep in mind that your last conversations will be erased during the process; You will be able to recover only the messages of the backups of the last 7 days. In addition, your phone number, registered in WhatsApp, must be the same as the one you had during the backup.
To start the restore process, copy the contents of the WhatsApp < Databases folder, located in the internal or external memory of your device, to a folder on your computer.
Then, uninstall WhatsApp. Open the folder where you copied the files (to your PC) and delete the file msgstore.db.crypt7 or msgstore.db.crypt8.
Once you have done this, choose the backup you want to restore and rename it: msgstore-Year-Month-Day.1.db.crypt7 (to replace msgstore.db.crypt7) or msgstore-Year-Month-Day .1.db.crypt8 (to replace msgstore.db.crypt8).
Reinstall WhatsApp on your device, but do not open it. Connect your device to the PC using the USB cable. Copy the file you renamed to your PC into the WhatsApp < Database (Databases)folder on your device (if the folder is empty, you simply paste it, if a file with the same name exists, replace it).
When you see the number of messages retrieved, click Continue.
