Hours earlier, The Wall Street Journal pointed to February 20 as a possible date for the presentation of Samsung’s first folding smartphone. The Samsung Mobile tweet and the sending of the first invitations confirm the information anticipated by the American newspaper.
The most recent leaks agree that Samsung could present up to four different versions of the Galaxy S10:
- Galaxy S10 Lite or Galaxy S10 E. The most economical model in the range. A tasting of the Galaxy S10 range.
- Galaxy S10. The standard model. I would share microprocessor and technologies with the other versions.
- Galaxy S10 Plus. The most advanced model. It would have facial recognition, a higher capacity battery, and a larger screen.
- Galaxy S10 5G A variant designed specifically for the markets in which the 5G begins to be a reality. Your availability would be limited. Probably use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset.
Among the most outstanding features of the new family would be a facial unlocking system similar to Face ID, fingerprint readers under the screen itself, up to three cameras in the rear region and a new type of screens with perforations that allows reducing frames without resorting to elements like the notch.
In parallel, Samsung could present its first smartphone with folding screen –unofficially christened as Galaxy F, Galaxy Flex and Galaxy Foldable. The Korea Herald assures that the price of this product could oscillate the 1,300 dollars and the manufactured units would be, for the moment, very limited.
